Aboslute Value Function
Absolute value functions are explored, using an applet, by comparing the graphs of f(x) and
h(x) = |f(x)|.
Ex: -3 = 3
3= 3
Range
The range is the set of all possible output values (usually y), which result from using the function formula.
Function
A function is a set of mathematical operations performed on one or more inputs (variables) that results in an output
Domain
The domain of a function is the set of all possible input values (usually x), which allows the function formula to work
Slope
In mathematics, slope descripes the steepness, incline or grade of a line. A higher slope indicates a steeper incline. If you have two points on a line represented on a graph, the slope of that line equals
Ex: (y2 - y1)
__________
(x2 - x1)
Ex: (y2 - y1)
